Mrs Oscar Strand and Merriel were York visitors Saturday. The W C T U will meet at the home of Mrs Ida McConnell next Tuesday Feb 11. Leo Wurtz Martin Jones Harvey Hahn and Orlie Miller attended the fight at Grand Island Thursday evening. Mrs Paul Wurtz has been reported on the sick list this week. Mr and Mrs W J Newton visited friends at Tamara Sunday. The Ladies Aid of the M E Church served coffee pie and sandwiches last Wednesday afternoon at the Home Service Store. The society netted approximately $7 55. Mr and Mrs Forrest Sedan spent Sunday at the C O Johnson home. Arthur Steele left for Boise Idaho Friday evening after spending the past week here with his brother W C Steele and family. Miss Wilmetta Steele spent the week end here with her parents Mr and Mrs W C Steele. Mr and Mrs Paul Strand were entertained at a dinner at the home of Mrs Esther Berggren at Stromsburg given in honor of Cy and Mrs E H Nordstrom of Oklahoma City. Miss Marjorie Hahn is assisting at the home of her sister Mrs Maurice Lindburg who recently underwent a minor operation. Miss Melba Ann Carlson is staying at the Richard Widga home. Mr and Mrs Edgar Ziengelbein and son were Saturday dinner guests at the Ernest Hahn home. Mr and Mrs Donald Hageart and son of Grand Island were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mrs Will Lindburg. Miss Norma Nierman is visiting at the Roy Heiden home near Benedict this week. A E Swanson spent Sunday with his parents at St Edwards Nebraska. Mr and Mrs August Nelson were York visitors Friday afternoon.

Mr and Mrs Mervin Samuels and son visited the C. J. McCoy home Sunday. Mrs August Nelson and Mrs Theo Stevens returned from Omaha where they visited sister Mrs Earl Clark who is ill. Ralph Shafer of Lincoln, husband of Mildred Graves Shafer, lies in Mayo Bros. Hospital Rochester Minn for major operation.
