A column of brief hometown items lists visits and trips: Ernest Hahn and wife from York visited Polk County. Ernest Kerker traveled to Osceola. Herbert and Arthur Wurtz visited Grand Island with Clifford. Elmer Peterson came from Big Springs to see relatives and handle business. H G Brauer left for Omaha for a Cement Users Midwest Convention. FE J Schultz departed for Valparaiso for a Section Foreman's Convention. J T Samuelson was a guest at a Stromsburg home for a birthday dinner. a new baby boy arrived this morning at the Nyberg home.
Mrs D N Carlson and two babies spent Wednesday evening visiting in the country home of her sister Mrs O E Johnson. Ralph son of W J Fisher is in a very serious condition from scarlet fever. The Missionary and Aid society met last Wednesday at the home of Mrs Harry Henderson with Mrs D Graves assisting.
L E Blase and Martin Baack sold a car of hogs in Omaha on Thursday with very satisfactory prices. Dr C R Peterson and family and Mr and Mrs A E Sundberg visited Stromsburg Sunday. Clarence Bryant will be Gee Bee feeds dealer for Polk. Mrs R E Merchant and Robert visited York. Mr and Mrs Ellis White moved to Shuffley farm. Mrs White formerly Hazel Peterson.
Lincoln visitors include Mr and Mrs Albert Peterson and Mrs Olaf Ostlund and Mrs V J Johnson. Central City medical transfer for Mrs R J Allison while Mrs Clyde Stevens seeks treatment in Kearney. Baby boy Charles Albert born to A C Delwarte of Denver. Board of Trustees of Polk Village meets with street appointment and bills paid. financial items listed and adjournment noted.
