Polk Cubs Fall To Genoa And St. Edward In Back-To-Back Games
The Polk High Cubs lost 57 50 at Genoa last Tuesday and 63 51 at home to St. Edwards Friday night. Randy Branting led Polk with 20 points against Genoa while Tom Carlstrom added 12. In the St. Edward game Brian Bedient had 11 and Branting 10 as Polk trailed by 8 at halftime and 10 after three quarters before the late push fell short. The Cubs head to the Holiday Tournament at Hampton on January 2 and 3.
