Teens dance draws crowds from multiple towns
Last Saturday Polk hosted a teen dance featuring the Satellites with 150 youths from Central City Clarks OK Stromsburg and Polk enjoying music and food. The event ran smoothly with no incidents and organizers urged continued responsible conduct to keep dances successful. Reverend Harold Keollin and his wife of Rose Nebraska will move to Polk in February to lead the Evangelical Free Church. Reverend and Mrs Pinkernell will relocate to Rockford Illinois the week of December 27 to pastor the Silver Hill Evangelical Free Church, with a farewell reception on December 27 at 7 30 pm. Bernard Litty and his wife celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Andrew Litty home.

Polk edged Silver Creek 60 54 in a close home game as Don Sealey scored 21 and grabbed 16 rebounds while Don Hanquist added 14 points. Silver Creek’s Dennis Grey led with 19 points. Reserve contest Polk won 58 55 with Joel Stevens and Charles Shhenk each at 24.
