A large crew unloaded and elevated the corn into cribs while Edick A Anderson led preparations. Trailers belonged to local families and many volunteers formed a corps of pickers and helpers with a big dinner provided for all. The event resembled an old time husking bee but used modern mechanical pickers, and the effort stood as a generous act by the community.
