Henry Sandell born August 10 1879 near Stromsburg Nebraska died November 26 1952 in Polk at 73.3.16. He joined Swedish Baptist Church Stromsburg at 16 and later Bible Baptist Church Polk. He married Hilma Bongon April 25 1966 and Ellen Thoreen May 8 1932. He leaves wife Ellen three sons and families, two sisters, one brother and four grandchildren. Funeral at First Baptist Polk with Rev Elwood Anderson, buried Swedish Baptist Cemetery near Hardyville.

Duane Newton Serves With 7th Infantry in Korea
Cpl. Duane Newton son of Mrs. Ernest Newton, of Bradshaw Nebraska, serves in Korea with the 7th Infantry and has completed a third Korean winter. He earned the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Korean Service Ribbon with one campaign star. He entered the Army in August 1951 and his unit provides heavier clothing and gear for winter operations.
