December schedule lists church events including Baptist Sunday School on the 15th and 28th, Methodist Church School and Choir Cantata on the 19th and 21st, Swede Plain S S and Choir Cantata on the 22nd, Immanuel Lutheran Program on Christmas Eve, and Evangelical Free Program on Christmas Day. December 25th event at 7:30 P. M. and December 24th at 7 P. M. Details specify times and venues for each program.

York County Agent Suffers Stroke at Conference

Alvah Hecht, York County agent, suffered a slight stroke Monday last week while attending the National County Agents Conference in Chicago. The stroke occurred at the Sheridan Plaza where he and Mrs Hecht were staying. Hecht will perform only limited duty during his convalescence, with an assistant possibly aiding him.

Polk Christmas Plans Highlight Santa Visit and Contests

Santa Claus comes December 20 as Polk Commercial Club closes a guessing contest with $5 prizes. Two Saturdays host holiday events including Christmas lights at 7 15 and caroling around the tree. A Polk Theatre show at 2 pm features Santa handing out treats to kids. Winners must be present.

Square Dance Club Formation Planned
