High School Registration Set For August 24
Registration for grades 9 through 12 occurs August 24 with seniors and juniors 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and sophomores and freshmen 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Families with siblings may register all in one session. The first day of school is August 30 with noon dismissal and no school lunches.

Bean Day Plans Rally With Parade and Style Show
Community Club outlines Bean Day events in Polk including a parade at 10:30, bean and barbequed beef in the park, a 1:30 tractor pull, 2:00 style show, 3:00 kids races, 5:30 chicken barbecue, a variety show, raffles, and a Legion dance. The Four Aces perform, Rogues Gallery band plays Friday, and RéL carnival rides appear both days. Plan to be in Polk that weekend.
