Pvt Larry Coover Completes Field Communication Course

Army Private Larry E. Coover 21, husband of Beverly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Coover, Route 1 Clarks, completed a field communication crew man course at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri on August 4. He learned to string wire from field to communication center and received basic electricity switchboard installation and operation and pole climbing training. Pvt Coover is currently stationed in Germany.

Wide Awake S S Class swam at Buckley Park with Mrs Irvin Anderson. Oscar Gustafson of Aurora stayed with the Andersons last week. Walden and Burney families visited Thursday. Larry Jones visit to Pueblo ended with Colorado trip. Ed Coover joined Karen Stevens and Linda Kisler to Lincoln for a wedding in which Karen sang.

Social Security Rep to Visit Osceola August 22

A Social Security representative from Lincoln will visit Osceola on August 22 on the courthouse second floor from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Beneficiaries who work may be entitled to more benefits. Starting in 1966, yearly earnings under 1500 dollars qualify for full benefits, and any month with earnings under 125 dollars or no self employment still pays full benefits.

Tuesday breakfast guests included Miss Helen Nyberg of Cody Kentucky and Mrs. Mary Nyberg with Mrs. C. O Rodine.
