All Star Game Voting Sets Democratic Republican Tilt
After last Saturday night voting the final results show the Democrats and Republicans will clash in an all star game to be held Tuesday night August 19. Admission is 25 cents for ages 12 and up. Starting lineup features Burdette Flodman, Laverne Holmes, and Lloyd Lind among Democrats with Don Dahlin, Lennis Lizarrd, Walden McNandidt among Republicans.

Bankers clinched the league title with a 26 to 7 rout over the Legion as Oilers upset Johnsons late, leaving Bankers undisputed champs. Bud Bolten pitched well and Clarence Bahr delivered key hits, while Rube Anderson held the Legion to limited offense. Red Cross Bloodmobile Visit Planned at Stromsburg High School
The Red Cross bloodmobile will be at Stromsburg High School gym on August 29 to collect blood for hospitals in Korea. Radio stations broadcast daily pleas for donors, as blood and serum are sent for polio efforts and to aid Nebraska soldiers in Korea.
