Rodine Promoted to Regional Sales Manager at Allstate Menlo Park

Clarence "Flip" Rodine rises to regional sales manager for Allstate's major office in Menlo Park California. He joined Allstate in 1952 in Boise Idaho and held roles in Salem Seattle and finally Seattle as regional sales manager before the 1964 promotion. He is a 1943 Hardville High School and 1949 Lewis and Clark College graduate with wife Dorothy and two children Connie Jo and Charles.

Polk County Flower Show Winners Ribbons Awarded

Mrs Abbie Green and Mrs Oliver Baker attended the Henderson flower show Thursday afternoon. Mrs Gary Green and girls of Central City and Mrs Dan Garner of Hardville visited Mrs Bessie Green Wednesday afternoon. Mrs Oliver Baker and Mrs Abbie Green entered Polk County Fair Garden Club exhibits and received several ribbons.

Return to Air Station After Far East Deployment

Quartermaster Seaman Dennis L. Widga USN returns to Naval Air Station North Island San Diego after a six month Far East deployment on Commander Carrier Division One staff. He helped plan training missions in the Sea of Japan and directed combat air strike planning. Following a Japan visit aboard Enterprise he remained with Task Force 77 after the Pueblo seizure.
