In Osceola the school board chose Donald Heinemeyer to replace Miss Lucille Dickenson as commercial department teacher. The community itemized other local happenings including a church wedding, club events, railroad worker travel, a Lincoln Telephone Co picnic, and several family visits and a major medical operation.
A delegation of Stromsburg business leaders from the Commercial Club and the Young Republican Club of Polk County travels to Topeka to extend a personal invitation to Gov Landon to address Stromsburg this fall.

Agricultural Agent Kelly urges farmers to use government poison bait now available at low cost to curb a large grasshopper crop. Benefits include 10 to 15 pounds per acre on alfalfa hay and pasture, corn land to hatch before work. Osceola supply must be claimed by Saturday or moved to other counties.
