Keith Bailey Dies in Colorado Flood
Keith Bailey, 52, died in a flash flood in the Big Thompson River Canyon area of Colorado. He lived with his mother in the canyon and was the son of Rev. and Mrs Roscoe Bailey formerly of Polk. The Rev. Bailey was a Baptist minister in Hordville Polk and Mead. Mrs Bailey, in her late 70s, was hospitalized with bruises.

Bicentennial Day Observed at Polk County Fair

Union Services Schedule August Nights At Two Churches
Baptist and Evangelical Free Churches plan union Sunday programs in August. August 8 features laymen night in the Baptist Church with talks on lay ministry plus special numbers. August 15 shows a film In God We Trust in the Free Church. August 22 and 29 include Rev Ken Burke speaking in the Baptist Church and a film Where the Waters Run in the Free Church. All services start at 7 30 p m and the public is invited.
