New Polk School Adds Fifth Grade Teacher Dorothy Thengvall

Mrs Dorothy Thengvall will teach fifth grade at Polk for the coming year. She was born in Holdrege graduated Loomis high school and earned a BA from Trinity College Deerfield Illinois. She taught elementary grades in Highland Park Illinois and the Thengvall family moved to Polk this summer where he is minister of the Evangelical Free Church.

High On The Campus Screening At Union Service

The Evangelical Free Church hosts a Sunday 7:30 PM union service screening of High On The Campus. The documentary uses interviews with drug users and recovered teens to show the impact of dope addiction and the dangers of marijuana acid and heroin.
