Home Society Club Meets With Hostess Meal

The Home Society Club met July 20 at Mrs Minnie Mier's home with twelve members present. Mae Johnson led the business meeting and messages from Nebraska Children's Home and Mabel Benjamin were read. A hostess gift went to Mrs Myrtle Werner and two visitors attended an all-hostess lunch. The group adjourned to meet August 17 at Mrs Sadie Clark's home. Evelyn Shenk reported.

Local Social Guests and Visits Reported in Polk County

Sunday visits included Mrs. Ella Rudy and Mrs. Susan Gertsch with Mrs. Bessie Green. Friday lunch guests were Mrs. Sadie Clark Esther Peterson and Mrs. Edith Benson at Mrs. Paul Sagehorn s home. Kent Burchfield of Cherry Valley Illinois visited Earl Stevens last week. Sharon Werner from New York City is visiting her uncle Ray Werner for a few days. Everett Green and his wife from Lincoln called on Mrs. Bessie Green Saturday.
