Rohde Hart wedding guest list covers Schuyler to Hampton

Delores Schulze of St Paul Minnesota joined her parents Mr and Mrs Henry Schulze for the weekend and served as bridesmaid at the Rohde Hart wedding in Hampton. The Rohde and Hart families along with Mr and Mrs Ernest Rohde hosted and attended the ceremony with extended relatives from Schuyler and nearby areas.

Hampton Hosts Wide Circle For Sunday Dining

Polk County Draft Board Forms First Postwar Meeting

The Polk County Draft Board held its first business meeting since the Korean situation began. Sixty men were classified or reclassified as the board reviewed registrations and changes in marital status. The board, meeting at the Osceola Plumping and Heating Co. building, asked for updated addresses and noted no farm deferments at present while potential calls may rise due to recent reverses in Korea. Osceola social highlights mark weekend visits and events

Mrs Wayne Anderson and her little daughter attended a birthday party for Mrs Freida Knerr near Stromsburg last Wednesday. G G Shelmadine of Kearney visited Mrs P C Wieseman and Mrs F Shelmadine. Charles Fischer and Janis and the Dave Rutter family hosted Sunday supper for the Neal McBeth family near Stromsburg. Leroy Laase and family of Lincoln took A F Nuquist to Lake Ericson for the week. E A Hedlund and granddaughter Barbara Jane Hedlund of Wahoo visited while Harold and Barbara Hedlund are on vacation. Fred Norris of Des Moines returned home after a summer visit with Dave Rutter family. Guy Ball returned from Albuquerque with Sally Ball remaining for several weeks. S W Calhoun and wife visited Grand Island to see the new veterans hospital dedication. The Good Will Club held its annual picnic in Osceola Park with ten families attending.
