Dazzling Lights Bewilder Benson in Highway Crash
John Benson of Hardville suffered severe scalp wounds and possible internal injuries after his Essex coupe overturned several times on a rural road about 33 miles west of Polk. Benson blamed dazzling lights from an oncoming car but no vehicle was seen at the scene. He was found dazed by Ray Phillips and later removed home. the car was a total wreck and stitches were needed for scalp wounds.
