University of Nebraska Junior Miss Natalie Hahn was chosen to fly to Scots Bluff to present Western Hospitality Day on April 25. She served as commentator for the Mosaic in Fashion show and spoke to about 600 high school girls about University careers.
Sioux Falls trio Miss Marlene Coover Max Kroger and Laurie Ann Holmes visited parental homes over the weekend Laurie Ann spent time with grandmothers Mrs Ruth Kroger and Mrs Wilda Holmes Sharon Hultgren from Lincoln was an overnight guest Monday at the home of her aunt and uncle Mr and Mrs Irvin Anderson Read The Progress Ads.
Keene Hueftle son-in-law of Mr and Mrs Paul Stevens will publish an Outdoor Life article in May 1966 titled Get a Good Thing Going about bobcat chasing with hounds bow and arrow in Nevada and New Mexico. He and his family reside in Kersey Colorado and he works as a psycho educational consultant at the Southeast Wyoming Mental Health Center Cheyenne while studying psychology at Colorado State College Greeley.
Mrs Rodney Stevens and grandchildren from Shelton with Mr and Mrs Dwight Burney visited in the Arlo Stevens home for lunch Sunday. Gary and Karen Stevens home for the weekend from Wesleyan. Mr and Mrs Irvin Anderson dined with the Donald Pierpont household in Grand Island. Mr and Mrs Walter Stahl and Leilani lunched with Mrs Julia Flodman Sunday.
The Polk County Educational Association selected Charleen Corbit, a Stromsburg Public Schools senior, as winner of a $150 teaching scholarship from four candidates. Barbara Graff of Shelby was named alternate. The association also elected officers Wesley Fredrickson, Jean Peterson, Francis Crowe, and Dan Jantzen for the next year.
