Fifteen years ago on April 13 1922 many town events and visits noted. Mr and Mrs W F Miller were visitors in York. Mrs Emil Lind and Emma visited Central City. M A Larson of Central City was a Polk visitor. Reuben Hanquist bought a Ford Coupe from Mills Auto. The Junior Play Ruth in a Rush scheduled for April 19. Mrs Ross Goethe and son left for Aurora for a birthday party honoring her father’s sixtieth. Mr Goethe drove over Sunday returning with them. Mothers Club and husbands enjoyed an evening at H A Johnson home with dinner and Rock. Mrs K Crow hosted Eastern Star Kensington for a social afternoon and luncheon. Miss Martha Jones arrived from unknown location.

Grand Island Residents Make Weeklong Home Visit

Grand Island is the home for a visiting student and local residents this week. Lord Wurtz and Mildred McDaniel return from Lincoln and Buick dealer R. H. Thesing makes a business trip to attend a Buick dealers meeting. The Polk Municipal band concert Wednesday drew favorable comments. the 26 member group offered a well balanced, pleasing program. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Wilmer Bodine on Wednesday April 12.
