A new shrine at Versailles will honor Franco American cooperation and Pershing era ties. The monument features a grand marble stairway with forty eight state blocks, fountains, and a Lafayette statue, with Pershing on horseback at the summit facing Paris. The project, led by Versailles Mayor Henry Haye, will be funded by July 4 fundraisers across France.
