Mr and Mrs C V Lind and family visited old friends in University Place over the weekend. Miss Mildred McDaniel returned from State University to spend time with her parents. Miss Lorna Alfred came from Grand Island to visit family. Mrs Z F Myers returned from Beatrice after a week with Ruth Hargis family. Hugo Flodman welcomed a grandson named Phillip Hugo born to Rev and Mrs Robert Hull in White Plains New York. Arthur Adelson and Ilos Ostberg were in Omaha market with no cattle cars. Hilding Strand suffers rheumatism. Evelyn Carlson is mentioned with a partial line remaining.

Raymond Peterson signs a contract to pitch for Hastings state league on April 15 after a strong season in Polk County. Carl Jones wed Elma Sturdevant of Bridgeport Nebraska on April 10 and will reside in Lincoln. Belle Bittinger of Benedict married Frederick Shockey of Polk in Aurora. Shockey, a World War I veteran, is from the Polk area. The couple will reside near Polk after the ceremony.
