Polk Women’s Club Elects Officers at April Meeting
The Polk Women’s Club met at Mrs. J. Wilson’s home on Wednesday evening April 7. The business session elected officers: president Janice Widga, vice president Fern Myers, secretary Mae Sundberg, and treasurer Jo Strand. Alice Wilson presented slides of the Wilsons trip to Nigeria, followed by an hostess lunch.

Missionary Talk Highlighted by Baptist Leader Visit

Polk High School hosted its all-sports banquet on April 12 in the high school auditorium. Freshmen and sophomore girls decorated. Gary Johnson served as master of ceremonies and Rev. Gene Wood gave the invocation before a meal. Dennis Carlstrom was named all-sports king and Carol Stromberg the queen, with Lorraine Reckner and Richard Mundt as attendants.

The Polk Community chorus performed John W. Petersons The Story of Easter on Palm Sunday April 11 at 8 p.m. at the high school.
