The Polk Woman's Club met at Eleanor Stromberg's home with Mary Stauffer assisting. Sixteen members attended and planned Saturday's Walk-a-thon. about 100 youth and adults were served. New officers include President Erma Adelson and Treasurer Eleanor Stromberg. program covered Gold Rush history with Janelle Lindburg and Bertha Brazda.

Mr and Mrs Lanny Ang Kevin visited the Melvin Bender home on Thursday evening. Don Bjerrum spent the weekend in Omaha with Linda Nelson. Sunday guests at the Milan Blase home included Arnold Peters and daughters from Lincoln, Louis Parker from York, and Gaylord Dose and sons. Lavina Swanson of Osceola and Dwayne Swanson of Washington DC visited Reuben Swanson on Thursday. Reuben Swanson hosted Wallace Sherwood and family for Tuesday dinner in Stromsburg. Marvin and Leslie Branting visited Reuben Swanson Friday evening and for lunch.
