The Polk community report lists village and school board candidates, a deadly live-wire accident killing Neil T. Rakestraw, a dust storm followed by rain, local banquets and speeches, family visits, a marriage, Boy Scout chartering, and various city happenings including repairs, moves, and hospital treatments.
After a March meeting the Willanna Chapter of the Eastern Star held a belated Valentine party inviting Masons and wives. Nine tables were used for Tally-Ho games with numbered slips. the clock alarm determined prize winners. Pie and coffee were served. Rolland Stromberg family visited Battle Creek, Iowa, and attended Annie Sonsken funeral there.
