Polk County Commissioners Meet. Annual Claims Audited

Polk County Nebraska board met March 18 1969 in regular session with all members present. Claims were audited and approved with line items including General Fund salaries 8036.23 and various supplies and services. extensions and county relief fund entries. road fund expenditures for equipment, supplies, and utilities. and county insurance bids discussed. The Board approved a fallout shelter plan for county buildings and a beer license location change request. The meeting adjourned to April 1 1969.

Bruce Samuelson Wins University Regents Scholarship

Bruce Samuelson of Polk was named a one year University of Nebraska scholarship winner amid 4000 Nebraska seniors in the upper 10 percent. He plans to attend the university this fall with an undecided major. Mr and Mrs Louie Blase visited Mrs Minnie Butt in Central City for Sunday dinner.
