Palm Sunday concert pleases audience of three hundred
The Polk Community Chorus presented its 20th annual Palm Sunday concert in the high school auditorium before about 300 attendees. Ron Foote Jr directed the cantata No Greater Love by John Peterson with Ann Otte as accompanist and Dick Bauer as narrator.

Junior Class Presents Shy Guy March 28
The Junior Class staged the play Shy Guy on Friday March 28 with Mark Wood as Fred Hastings Bradley Samuelson as Larry Madison and Marcia Myers as Miss Corwin. The plot centers on a Glamour Girl Cosmetics model prank gone awry with a cast including Mike Lindburg Steve Gary Bjerrum Bill Sterling and Miss Whipple. Grandfather Zeke and promoter Penny Bills provided additional humor and the show concluded with couples and TV crew resolving the misadventures.

Village trustees election yields Myers and Redman winners
Incumbents Dean Myers and Ralph Redman were elected to the village board of trustees. For the school board two year terms were won by Gerald Stevens and Harold Anderson. Village turnout was 110 and school turnout 168 ballots.
