Death of Fred Gardner Ends Long Local Life
Fred Gardner, longtime resident of the city and vicinity, died at his West Locust Street home after a period of failing health. A native of West Virginia, he came here about fifty years ago and worked in the Burlington shops, then in a local quarry, and later resided near Cullom. He is survived by his wife, aged and in serious condition, whom he cared for during his illness.

Funeral of Fred Gardner at St John’s Roman Catholic
The funeral for the late Fred Gardner was held Friday morning at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church with mass conducted by Rev. Father George Agius.
