Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Kirkpatrick of Nehawka marked 40 years since their September 17 1873 wedding to Edward A. Kirkpatrick. About 450 guests attended a dinner and reception at their home with rings donated by editor J. I. Long and decorations of smilax and fall roses. Relatives from Plattsmouth Cornelia Bluffsa Omaha St Joseph Texas and Washington sent congratulations though sons Paul and Ray could not attend due to illness.

J H Thrasher and wife returned to their city home yesterday afternoon from Persia Town where they stayed several days with Mrs H H Davis sister of Mrs Thrasher. They were escorted home by Mrs Davis and her son R A Davis in Mr Daviss touring car and praised the trip as very enjoyable. Henry Krager died at his parents home west of Mynard after years of lung trouble. He was about 25 and had lived on the family farm. Funeral services will be Thursday with burial in Eight Mile Grove cemetery.
