First Parade of the Kangaroo Kourt Held
The first Kangaroo Kourt parade occurred Wednesday night with parade victims completing court sentences. Notable costumes included Roy Ozersky in a fine design and W. G. Nieck in a flapper outfit. Gilbert Hirt appeared as a kittenball player and the American Legion junior dram corps led by James Farnham and Anton Pajek energized the event. Officers worked on the street selecting men for next week’s parade.

Chief Libershal responding to a report found an Oldsmobile coupe badly damaged near the Missouri river traffic bridge. The driver, identified as Charles Harper, a colored man, was taken into custody and turned over to the sheriff for jail awaiting Council Bluffs officers.

Bids for three Missouri River improvement projects will be opened in Kansas City on September 13. Captain Theodore Wayman, engineer in charge, announced. One project covers 41 005 linear feet of dyke and 9 080 feet of revetment at Tobacco and Rock Bluff bends about three miles south of the city.

Crash Telegraph Pole Hits McMahon Truck in Alley

Soldiers Fire On Range at Fort Crook Training Site
