Shot Breaks Window On Pearl Street Incident
George Fornoff, a city resident, heard a window crash at his Pearl street home Monday afternoon. Investigators found a bullet had deflected from the pavement and struck the east window, with the projectile recovered bearing marks of pavement impact. Police consider the shot may have been aimed at a dog nearby.

Norfolk Packing Plant Raises Corn Prices for Farmers
The Norfolk Packing Co. will pay higher prices for Evergreen, Country Gentleman, and Golden corn as set by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration. Evergreen corn rises from 4.00 to 5.25 per ton and Country Gentleman and Golden corn from 5.50 to 6.75 per ton. Farmers delivering corn now receive the difference. future deliveries follow the new rates. Circulars are being sent to growers about the change.
