Burglars Loot A. G. Bach Store Break In Through Window
Burglars gained entrance to the A. G. Bach store at Main and Richey Streets by breaking a window. They stole two sheeplined coats overalls and a small amount of cash totaling $2.15, leaving pennies behind and a pair of gloves near the cash drawer. Shoes, sugar wafers, and milk were also taken. several suspects were questioned but none implicated.

Death of Local Resident David Wallengren at 70
David Wallengren, longtime Plattsmouth resident and retired Burlington railroad worker, died at an Omaha hospital after a prolonged illness including pneumonia. Born in Sweden seventy years ago, he lived in Plattsmouth forty years and is survived by wife, Mrs. Wallengren, and children Mrs. Freda Rhylander Minneapolis, Mrs. Gusia Beverly Omaha, Ernest Billings Montana, Mrs. Earl Newland Decatur, and Rudolph and Hilda of Plattsmouth. Mrs. Wallengren predeceased him two and a half years ago.

County relief head Mrs. C. A. Rosencrans reports busy months with 175 cases opened in September, 127 home visits, 190 relief checks, and 667 individuals served. Federal funds totaled 1,209.03 dollars along with county and charity contributions totaling 2,533.13 dollars across cemetery improvements, city cleanup, gardens, rifle range, Fort Crook, police for carnival, and office costs. Outside Plattsmouth relief extended to Murray road work and county fairs totaling 44.54 dollars, bringing overall expenditures to 2,008.90 dollars.
