Class of 1939 Bids Farewell to Alma Mater
Plattsmouth high school held a farewell program in the auditorium as 71 seniors received diplomas marking twelve years of study. Dr. O N Werner discussed democracy and liberty while Miss Nielsen and Miss Westover performed and prizes were announced for top students and scholars.

Rae F. Patterson learns Friday evening he is grandfather to an eight and a half pound boy born Friday morning to Edward and Mrs. Patterson in San Francisco. The infant named Michael Jeffery and mother are doing well. Mrs. Rea F. Patterson of this city attended the arrival, a first grandson for the family.

County Court Actions in Probate Matters
Friday in county court Judge A H Duxbury oversaw probate work including the final hearing and settlement of the estate of the late David Babbington with trustee J A Capwell discharged. Stolen Car Recovered After Night Chase
A 15 year old Nebraska City boy stole a car to visit his girlfriend. Police and Sheriff Joe Mrasek pursued from Omaha along highway 76, catching the vehicle north of Nebraska City after a short chase. The Nebraska City case was handled by Sheriff Ryder.

Coach to West Coast for summer training plan

Robbery at Hinky Dinky Store Probes Theft of Cash and Checks
Early morning burglary at the Hinky Dinky store saw the front door pried open and the fire safe damaged. Authorities counted about 350 dollars in currency and 517 dollars in checks stamped for deposit missing, with sheriff and store manager examining the scene and preserving fingerprints.

In Omaha district court on Wednesday the court approved a settlement for Arthur Salerno a former BREX employee for damages due to injuries from cranking a tractor in 1937 The insurer covering compensation paid 400 dollars to Salerno in settlement of the claim.

Byron Golding aged 64 died Thursday at Lincoln General Hospital after kidney surgery and prolonged heart illness. Born in Plattsmouth he lived there most of his life, worked as a traveling salesman and later co founded a variety store with Dr J J Stibal. Unmarried he was survived by cousins and an uncle. funeral set for Sunday at Bnai cemetery Omaha.
