The Murray Red Sox plan a revival at the old baseball grounds east of Burlington station after lease approval from T. H. Pollock. Volunteers will clear the overgrown diamond and outfield while most last season’s roster returns except pitcher Hopkins now at Weeping Water. Home games may begin at the Washington avenues athletic field.

The Juniors defeated the All Stars by a decisive win at the Athletic field on Washington avenue on Wednesday afternoon. Rhodes and Clark formed the Juniors battery while Snodgrass Robert and Forbes led the All Stars. Coach Rothert delivered a standout three bagger for the All Stars and was among the lineup list alongside Peterson Donat Heinrichsen Giles Bowman Chovanec. The Texaco station at Patterson and Chicago avenues opened to find a break in. Owner C. E. Welshimer reported tires and tubes missing from the storeroom and a damaged pump lock. The thieves filled a car with gasoline before fleeing. witnesses saw activity around 10 to 10:30 p.m. but no one entered the building.

Dies at post of duty for Burlington engineer Frank Vetesnek
Frank Vetesnek an Edgemont South Dakota resident and Burlington engineer died of a heart attack while on duty on a freight train at Yoder Nebraska. Crew signaled a fast passenger and the body was moved to Crawford Nebraska and then to his Dakota home. He was formerly a Plattsmouth resident.

Raid Seizes Liquor and Two Stills at Omaha Farm
Federal officers raided the Joseph Ultman farm northwest of the city on Wednesday night securing 250 gallons of mash 105 gallons of whiskey and two stills with capacities of 50 and 15 gallons. The stills were said to be hidden in a rabbit Warren. The owner was taken to Omaha to await the filing of a complaint.
