The Plattsmouth High School class of 1933 gathered Sunday night at First Presbyterian Church for a union baccalaureate service. Rev. O G Wichmann gave the class sermon and led the address about balancing physical and spiritual life for future success. The service featured choir under Miss Margaret Engelkemeier, organist Mrs H F Goos, and benediction by Rev O G Chastain as seniors exited.

Death of G. G. Hoffman Comes Very Suddenly
G G Hofmann 76 longtime Plattsmouth resident dies suddenly at home on Pershing avenue from a heart attack. Born March 12 1857 in Lohland Saxony Germany he came to the United States in 1882 worked 40 years for the Burlington railroad and retired due to illness. Survived by wife Ernestine Lade four children two of whom live in California. He was a charter member of St Pauls Evangelical Church and helped design it in 1897.

Local educators headline Tuesday speech tour to Nebraska and Kansas

Alvo high school clinched the Cass county baseball title by defeating Louisville Elmwood Murdock Weeping Water and Greenwood. Junior pitcher Dallas Fifer averaged about 10 strikeouts per game and led a late rally to beat Lincoln 10 to 9 after trailing 9 to 2. Preparing to Widen Road Near City
The county road force works today on the road north of the city from the old highway 75 east toward the rifle range. Located between John Rutherford land and Stull property, the project aims to widen the old road and restore it for travel after last year’s proposal to close it and build a new route near the Burlington tracks was rejected by the board. Rooster-Rooster Days Bring High Prices Across Cass County
