Liquor Runners Captured North of Union
Federal agents halted two liquor running parties north of Union on highway No 75 capturing two cars. Charles Marhbse, already jailed for liquor cases, rode a prize haul with about thirty ze llons of hootch. Maybee, recently released, sought to shift operations to Cass county and earlier faced a Missouri river island still charge. A second driver, Glover, carried a five gallon jug of whiskey and had prior beer seizure at Union. Suspects were moved to the city jail for state charges.

V A Kennedy a Cass county pioneer and Civil War veteran died Tuesday at the Soldiers' Home hospital in Grand Island at ninety two. He came to Nebraska in 1861 and lived in the Murray area. Survived by two sons Ralph of Murray and Charles of Omaha. Funeral Friday at 2 from the Murray home with burial at Young cemetery.
