A rear end collision at Gilmore Junction between the Missouri Pacific southbound passenger train and the Union Pacific North Platte local disrupted service. Engineer A L Evers of the Map suffered serious injuries with multiple rib fractures and possible internal trauma. Twenty eight passengers on the Map train sustained minor bruises. nine Union Pacific passengers reported injuries.

Death of William Barnes Reaches Eldorado Man
Lew Russell received word of the sudden death of William Barnes aged eighty four at his Eldorado Kansas home. Barnes suffered heart leakage for years and died Saturday. Russell left immediately to attend the funeral after learning of the death of Mrs Russell's father. Barnes had visited recently during Mrs Russell’s death period and was not in good health then.

Death of Babe in Omaha Area Tragedy

Forgery suspect nabbed by Officer Alvin Jones
Yesterday afternoon a tip led Officer Alvin Jones to arrest John Clemmons, wanted in McCook for forgery and posing as a Western Union Telegraph operator.
