August H Engelkemeier longtime Cass county resident died at his farm six miles west of Murray after several months illness. Born June 20 1860 in Lippe Detmold Germany he came to the United States at age 21 and settled near Weeping Water then northwest of Murray where he farmed. Survived by wife Mathilda Kirchoff and six children Laura Fred Walter Mrs Philip Heil Cedar Creek Mrs Otto Lutz and Mrs Ed Meisinger Mynard. Herbert preceded in death. Also surviving two brothers Henry Engelkeimer Newkirk OK Charles and Mrs William Puls Murray. one brother Fred died previously.

Santa Enjoys Warm Welcome in Plattsmouth Christmas Visit
Santa visited Plattsmouth last Saturday to a joyous reception as boys and girls lined the depot and escorted him to the courthouse. He promised a return next Saturday and urged families to gather by 1 15 to 1 26 p m for a mysterious appearance. He will greet children, hand out treats, and later at 2 30 p m Prof Leonardo Melfisto will perform magic in the Legion Building. Tickets sold at local stores. This marks his last pre Christmas appearance in Plattsmouth for 1933.

The F I Rea family faces illness in three members across Lawrence Kansas Atchison and home. Mrs Rea fell ill in Lawrence while visiting relatives and cannot return. Harry Nelson, 50, Murray merchant and hardware dealer, died after a heart attack that began Sunday night. He lived in Cass County, had two brothers and a sister in Nehawka, moved to Murray six years ago to run the hardware store, and is survived by his widow and four young children.
