Women to Get Work in Cass County Through CWA
The Civic Works Administration has made possible jobs for about twenty women in Cass County under the state allotment of 1938 1 938 dollars. The local Civic Works committee and Mrs Rozgencrans supervise the program with clerical posts at the court house city library and schools. Workers include four county clerks two city clerks two bookkeepers and custodians with positions in Nehawka Elmwood Louisville Eagle Greenwood and Union. Pay is fifty cents an hour for clerks and thirty cents for custodians.

State buys snow plows for western Nebraska roads
The State Purchasing agent awarded contracts after engineer approval for three pneumatic wheel trucks and three snow plows to tackle oil sand roads in western Nebraska.
