Funeral of George Wever Held at Sattler Funeral Home
Funeral services for the late George Wever were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Sattler funeral home at Fourth and Vine. Rev. C. C. Troy of the First Methodist church led the ceremony. Mrs. E. H. Wescott performed two solos with Mrs. J. M. Roberts at the piano. The cortege proceeded to Lincoln for burial in Wyuka cemetery, with several friends accompanying the procession.

She had left Nebraska City for Omaha seeking work, hiked to the Glenn Perry farm, grew exhausted and hungry, was cared for at a nearby farm, and escorted back to town aboard with Constable Tom Svoboda. She said she had been out of work for some time and hoped to find employment in Omaha.
