The oldest attendee was 82 year old Martha Carter of Woodbine with the Clifford Quirk and Elmer O'Neil families from Council Bluffs present.

City Mail Service Crippled by Train Changes
The northbound Missouri Pacific passenger and mail train No 107 was taken out of service, leaving the city without night mail to the north. The last northbound dispatch is now 4 30 pm via No 2 to Pacific Junction for a north connection, causing widespread public inconvenience especially for air mail. Postmaster J W Holmes seeks star mail routes or a 630 pm bus to Omaha to restore late mail and air mail support. Local businesses face delayed wholesale orders and disrupted next-day service.

Joseph Tubbs Dies After Long Illness at Mynard Farm
Joseph Fitch Tubbs 75 spent fifty years in Cass county Nebraska living near Mynard after earlier work at Murray and Plattsmouth. He was a Burlington employee and a member of Plattsmouth Lodge No 6 A F & A M and Mt Zion Commandery No 5. Surviving wife Emma and four daughters, two sons deceased, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral Thursday at Mynard church with interment in Horning Cemetery.
