South Bend Woman Hurt In Omaha Crash
A collision at Sixtieth and Q streets in Omaha involved a sedan and a heavy truck. Mrs. Charles Buell of South Bend Nebraska is in critical condition, her husband has a fractured skull and broken leg, Herbert Nielsen of Papillion is injured, and the truck driver and a bystander were injured as the vehicles struck a brick wall and a second truck. Dr. Frank Lovely said Mrs. Buell has a good chance of recovery and all conditions were later listed as good.

Five youths in car theft scare hits Topeka bound sale group
Five young men claiming to sell magazines paused in the city on Saturday night before splitting into two autos for a trip to Topeka Kansas. One Chrysler sedan was taken by an unowned youth this morning and sheriff Reed is seeking the missing vehicle.

View of Old Times Celebrates Burlington Bridge Milestone
This August marks the fiftieth anniversary of the Burlington railroad bridge opening in Nebraska. An August 30 1880 test run and first train signaled a new era in western transport, enabling rail passengers to reach western Nebraska without Missouri river ferries. The C E Westcott Sons window displays include a 1880 city relief map by Herman C Schmidt, an early city directory, river boat tariff book, and a view of the steamer Vice President used to transfer cars before the bridge. Captain Peter Mann led the vessel for years, father of George B Mann of the city.

Robbers Hit Missouri Pacific Station in Nebraska City
Two men robbed the Missouri Pacific passenger station at Nebraska City early today forcing the operator to surrender about 15 dollars in change. They fled before officers could identify them as the telegraph sparked during the incident. The station lies at Central Avenue’s foot in the eastern edge of town.
