The ceremony took place at 10 oclock in the home of County Judge A H Duxbury with Judge Duxbury performing the marriage. Miss Hazel Baier of Nebraska City and Mr Gerald D McCord of Tekamah wed after Brides home ties and university connections. The bride attended the University of Nebraska and worked as a reporter in several papers before the marriage. The groom, son of D H McCord of College Springs Iowa, is a newspaper man now with the Burt County Plain Dealer Tekamah. They plan a brief trip to Spirit Lake Iowa and will reside at 804 M Street Tekamah after August 7.

Bail On Chicken Theft Case Returns To Court
Charles Wheeler who with John Weiss was bound over to the district court on May 22 1939 on chicken stealing is now out on a 1000 appearance bond and jailed in Saunders county. Since their May 6 arrest by Sheriff Joe Mrasek and Deputy Emery Doody Saunders county has seen a rise in poultry thefts nearby. Wheeler was picked up in Omaha with 117 live chickens and six dead ones identified as farmers property and Weiss remains in hospital after being shot during the May 6 arrest near Chilson school west of Murray.
