County Tax Rate Cut Is Believed Probable
Maricopa County to face higher government spending this year with a tentative budget of 8.23 million dollars for 1951 52. Tax rate depends on Arizona State Tax Commission assessment of El Paso Natural Gas Co. A higher utility assessment could lower the rate from 73 cents. The board may adjust expansion funding for the courthouse and weigh a slower spending plan to fit legal limits.
