Merely Mary Ann At Rivola
Rivola presents a major screen classic in Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrells film about love and misfortune. The pair delivers a vibrant performance as a beloved heroine and her steadfast suitor in a tale set against small town life and social expectations.
Merely Mary Ann shines with charm and wit
The film features a blossoming drudge turned heiress play by a luminous lead, opposite Charles Farrell as a bitter composer. Henry King directs a strong supporting cast including Beryl Mercer J M Kerrigan and Arnold Lucy. Authentic London settings and Zangwill’s play origin make the work a sheer delight.
