Syncopation and a Wife’s Query in Radio Shop Anecdote
A patient told a specialist he drinks too much and must cut back. The doctor suggested he tell his wife he is suffering from syncopation, and the patient complies. The wife reads the word and learns it means irregular movement from bar to bar in music. Also promoted are Acremeter tube testers, long lasting batteries, new lamps, and a joke about a misprint sparking a riot.
