Firing Colts coach sparks youth regime shift
Baltimore's Don McCafferty was fired after a 1-4 start, with GM Joe Thomas saying a “new regime” will rely more on younger players including Marty Domres. Bill Curry defended McCafferty as a skilled coach unjustly blamed for the team’s struggles. John Sandusky named interim. Johnny Unitas may see less time as Domres could start. The group planned a full team meeting to issue a statement.
