O P Fillington general claim agent and E F Terry claim agent of the Texas and Pacific Railroad Company visited this week on company business.
Elementary School Principal A. C. Bradley outlines a combined Honor Roll system at Pecos Elementary recognizing classroom work and outside activities. Points reward grades and participation, with 60 points needed for fourth graders and 65 for fifth to seventh graders. Honors include a certificate, pin, and American Legion awards with a trip to Wichita Falls for top students.
Two tank cars of the south bound Santa Fe train left the rails near Riverton crossing the River from Mentone tearing up a long stretch of track but caused no serious injuries. It took hours to clear the line with a wrecker from Clovis New Mexico. hoboes on the tank car were thrown far but landed unharmed in soft earth.
