The Payson Hospital Auxiliary offers a Christmas party and salad luncheon at Crawford Hall on December 6 marking the year’s final meeting. Father Bob Donovan will screen Holy Land photos for attendees. Officers elected for January include President Thelma Mather, Vice President Lorna Blankenship, Secretary Aliie Austin, Recording Secretary June McKeown, Treasurer Alice Hosley, Assistant Treasurer Lila Stckley, and Publicity Mabel Menghin.
The Mount Cross Lutheran Church fellowship pot luck followed by a slide show by charter member Ralph Fisher showcased the church’s history from its 1959 origin to the 1976 dedication. He displayed autumn forest scenes on the Mogollon Rim and offered cooking notes on fresh ingredients and wine choices.
Payson locals can name a six to eight month old buffalo now living behind Phil White Chevrolet. A $50 West End gift certificate awaits the entrant who suggests the winning name. Entries due by November 30 with winner announced December 1.
