Temperature control keeps cream quality for butter making
Purdue experiments show cooling cream on the farm preserves quality for up to three days, allowing a premium price. Cold water cooling speeds chilling, slows bacteria, and farms with frequent delivery reach No. 1 quality. Mold grows with air and storage conditions, so proper containers and storage are essential.
