Visiting Quartet at Bear Creek Church November 19

Ladies Fancy Work Club Meets At Mrs Rogier Home

Mrs Ethel Rogier delightfully entertained the Fancy Work Club at her home on Friday November 10. Mrs Cleo Walker and Mrs Winston Spurgeon led the entertainment with songs and games. Prizes went to Mrs Walker for the unguessed number and to Mrs Elsie Gray in the scrambled name contest. Mrs Rogier won the Trees contest as well as praise for a lovely meeting.

Patoka Woman's Club Meets Saturday November 11

The Patoka Woman's Club met in the high school auditorium on Saturday afternoon November 11. President Mrs. Tom Phillips presided. Miss Alfleta Williams and Mrs. Cleo Walter were elected members. A Silver Tea is planned for Wednesday November 29 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Mrs. Phillips home, with proceeds going to Vaughn Veterans Hospital. The program featured a roll call, hymn stories, hymns by Helen Barr, John Chance, Alfreta Williams, Addis Walton, piano solo Ave Maria by Mrs. Warren Lake, a talk on life of living composers by Miss Barr, and a vocal solo Beyond the Sunset by Mrs. Phillips. refreshments were pumpkin pie and coffee.
